Apply for a node-operator account
Request one node-operator role — exactly one (tier, node) pair per request. A Continental Infrastructure Admin can grant additional roles for other nodes after approving this one. See the Node operator handbook for what running a node day to day actually involves.
Every record your node contributes gets a real, durable citable id and one-click citation export the moment it reaches the Hub, and your node's own real contribution counts are visible, publicly and by name, on the Hub's Participation dashboard.
Before you apply
This isn't a gate — no answer here blocks your submission — but please make sure, honestly, that:
- You have a genuine institutional or research need to operate a node — browsing or requesting access to existing data doesn't require an account at all.
- You have the technical capacity to run the node software yourself, or access to someone who can — see the Node operator handbook.
- You (or your institution) can provide an ongoing point of contact who will actually maintain the node once it's approved.
- You agree to abide by the platform's node-operator license terms, provided alongside the node software once your node is approved.
