Compute requests
Analysis-platforms priority: request a job against a node's own holdings, or the Hub's own aggregated holdings. Data never moves to satisfy a search — the target (Hub or node) only ever returns a record id + similarity score, executing entirely against its own storage. Every search here is unfiltered by access tier: search returns neither the matched sequence's own bytes nor anything beyond a score, a fundamentally lower-stakes action than a real byte download, which stays exactly as gated as it always has been.
Search multiple targets at once
Submit one query sequence against any combination of the Hub's own aggregated holdings and any number of nodes — each target runs independently, so one unreachable/unregistered target never affects another's own result.

Other resource types (phylogenetics, HPC jobs, structure prediction)
Structure prediction has its own dedicated flow — see a protein's own page. The request below is for everything else this platform's compute-request model supports.
